In 2024, The Descendants Project purchased arguably one of the most significant spaces of Black resistance and culture in the United States – The Woodland Plantation. Since then, the Descendants Project and Woodland Plantation Museum & Cultural Center team have been working diligently, alongside our community and sponsors, to build upon the foundation and vision of this space.
